We have never taken professional photographs together, will this be a problem?
Not at all! Most of my clients don't have any experience with photoshoots and in my opion this is actually great because we tend to get more natural moments. I will guide you through every step and teach you a few tips and tricks like where to place your hands and where to land those kisses.
Do you travel for family sessions & what does it cost?
I do! I love to travel and would happily come to your side of the world! I actually love it when my families ask me to photograph their session in a location that means something special to them! Please contact me in regards to travel costs. You are also more then welcome to have your session on our beautiful farm that is located in the Sandveld area between Piketberg & Veldrift (a 90min drive from Cape Town).
What do we do if it’s raining on the day of our session?
I always try to travel with an umbrella and will look for covered areas to shoot under but it’s also important for you to consider the time of year and your venue / location when booking your session.
How will we receive our photos?
Your portrait session images will be delivered via a password protected online gallery where the high and low resolution photographs can be downloaded and shared with family & friends. You are more than welcome to order a USB at an additional cost.
How many images can we expect?
Unlike other photographers, I don’t have a limit of images I deliver from your session, instead I try and give you all the worthy ones (that are not duplicates or unflattering). I usually shoot around 80-120 images per hour depending on the time schedule and flow of the day.
Do you offer a special rate when we want all our family milestones photographed?
Yes, I offer a discount on sessions if two or more sessions with me, please get in touch for more details.
Do you offer mini sessions and how do they work?
Yes, I do a limited number of outdoor mini sessions each year. They take place on our farm on selected dates. These sessions are usually only 30 minutes long and you receive 20 images from the session with an option to purchase more after you've seen your online gallery.
What should we wear?
I recommend that you start by selecting a base of 2-3 colors and carry those through the outfits so that everything “goes” together but doesn’t match. Keep in mind that the colors you choose for each family member do not have to match, but they should look nice together. Mix neutrals with some accent colors. Neutral colors create a soft and elegant style, and will give your images a timeless feel.

Start off by getting in touch via my contact page, once you have decided that having me as your photographer is exactly what you’re looking, the next step is a securing the date for your shoot by paying the 50% non refundable booking fee.
