It was just over a month before their planned wedding date that Wion and Rachel finally got the go-ahead to celebrate their special day with close friends and family at Die Stoor in Mooreesburg. I remember how I jumped for joy when it was finally announced that the ban due to Covid 19 and lockdown restrictions on weddings will be lifted.

This was my first time photographing a wedding in the beautiful Swartland valley and we were treated with beautiful farm scenery and a golden sunset after a quick rainstorm earlier the day.

Wilinda Hanekom, the owner of the venue, was the talented lady behind the beautiful flowers and table settings which included printed floral table linen from SWIER.

I feel blessed that I was able to photograph this sweet couple’s wedding day and wish them all off the best for the future!
