I started my 2020 wedding season on a high with an intimate wedding celebration in the quaint little town of Franschhoek in the heart of the Cape Winelands.

Lezanne & Xavier already had their civil wedding back in Belgium where they live but decided to travel to Lezanne’s home country, South Africa to celebrate their marriage with close friends & family.

They got ready at the beautiful Orchard Cottages at La Cotte Farm and then continued to enjoy the rest of the afternoon under the big oak trees at Chefs Warehouse at Maison.

The day was everything you could expect from a very talented arty illustrator who’s also a romantic at heart! From the muted tones colour pallet with simplistic picnic style table setting & colourful florals, the soft pink quirky stationery (designed by the bride herself) to the brightly printed groomsmen shirts and the white summer bridesmaid dresses, everything resembled this couple’s unique style.

For me, the amazing culinary experience with a four course tappas style menu would be one of the highlights of this day!

I’ve been a massive fan of Lezanne’s work for so long and it was a massive honour to be chosen to capture this special couple's day for them!
